i bought a cd the other day.
this in itself is not an unusual occurrence. in fact, it happens pretty much every week. but what makes this purchase so special is that was by the group XTC (for those interested, the album was fossil fuel, and is awesome). it's the first cd i have bought by them. it is also the first cd i have bought by an artist/band whose name begins with the letter "x". it also, also means that i now have artists representing every letter of the alphabet in my collection. i have been buying cds since i was 14 years old (my first was pornograffitti by extreme, way back in 1990) - 17 years of buying cds, and only now do i complete the alphabet.
is that good? bad? indifferent? should i open up my own music shop? do i now have to get albums by artists/bands whose names start with numbers? are there bands beginning with all the numbers from 0-9? i don't know.
