a little overdue, but better late than never (i've been distracted by scrabulous): books i read in september.

1) if chins could kill, by bruce campbell
2) batman/judge dredd: judgement on gotham, by alan grant, john wagner and simon bisley
3) superman/batman: the greatest stories ever told, by various authors
4) kingdom come, by mark waid and alex ross
5) letter to a christian nation, by sam harris
6) the amazing adventures of kavalier & clay, by michael chabon (book of the month!)

still on the subject of books, you should all check out the environmentally friendly, literacy-funding online bookshop, betterworld.com. i will restrain myself from making a cheap joke about it not costing the earth.

also, i shall be nanowrimo-ing it up next month. anyone care to join me?

You're The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!

by Douglas Adams

Considered by many to be one of the funniest people around, you are
quite an entertainer. You've also traveled to the far reaches of what you deem possible,
often confused and unsure of yourself. Life continues to jostle you around like a marble,
but it's shown you so much of the world that you don't care. Wacky adventures continue to
lie ahead. Your favorite number is 42.

at the Blue Pyramid.

also, i have realised that i haven't updated my 'books i've read this month' list for the past few months. i shall rectify that on my first august entry. august? already? where the flip has the year gone?

thanks to the good people at fabulist, i am now aware of this awesomeness of awesomenessity. book shelves! made of books! what could be better!

in script frenzy news, after a flying start of 8 words in the first 8 seconds of june, i have slowed off the pace a bit. in fact, until last night, i hadn't even touched my computer since i saved those first 8 words onto the hard drive. but i did a bit of catching up last night, and hope to do a bit more tonight, but can't do anything during the day today because of my wondrous partner's birthday celebrations (happy birfday, you!). and my next day off work isn't until saturday, so i'll just have to plod along in the evenings until then. that'll be my catch up day. so, this is how much i've currently written:

Zokutou word meterZokutou word meter
677 / 20,000

which is the very least i should be writing per day, so i've got to triple it to be on target by the end of t he day. hmmm... depends what time the party finishes tonight, i guess. and how long the aftermath takes to clean up.

see ya.
